Reverting back to the original MIUI (stock ROM) on your Redmi device is very much possible, even after flashing Pixel Experience or any custom ROM. Here's how you can safely return to MIUI stock ROM:
---
1. What You’ll Need:
Official MIUI Fastboot ROM for your device (Download from https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/ or https://mifirmware.com/)
Mi Flash Tool (Download from https://xiaomiflashtool.com/)
Unlocked bootloader
A PC with ADB & Fastboot installed
A USB cable
---
2. Download Correct MIUI ROM
Make sure to download the Fastboot ROM (not Recovery ROM).
The file should be in .tgz format (like miui_MODEL_VERSION_xxxxx.tgz).
---
3. Boot into Fastboot Mode
1. Power off your phone
2. Hold Volume Down + Power until the Mi Bunny Fastboot screen appears
---
4. Flash MIUI via Mi Flash Tool
1. Extract the .tgz file (use WinRAR or 7-Zip)
2. Open Mi Flash Tool
3. Click Select and choose the folder where you extracted the Fastboot ROM
4. Click Refresh — your device should appear
5. Choose one of these modes:
Clean all – Recommended (keeps bootloader unlocked)
Clean all and lock – Locks bootloader (like factory reset)
Save user data – Not always safe after custom ROM, so avoid
6. Click Flash and wait (5–10 mins)
---
5. Reboot
Once done, your phone will reboot into stock MIUI
First boot may take a few minutes
---
Optional: Lock Bootloader
If you used “Clean all and lock”, the bootloader is already locked.
Otherwise, you can manually lock it later using:
fastboot oem lock
Warning: Locking the bootloader while on a custom ROM or incorrect firmware can brick your device. Only do this after flashing official MIUI.
---
Want to keep the bootloader unlocked for future custom ROMs or lock it fully.
